The town of Marennes-Hiers-Brouage is accessible by car from Bordeaux (2h) or Paris (5h20) following the A10 motorway or from Nantes (2h25) following the A83 motorway.
The bridges over the Charente at Rochefort, the Seudre at Marennes/La Tremblade and Oléron are free.
